Blue Water Adventure

Kids Room, what do you imagine about this? I say bright colors, fun decorative, and of course adventure. Kids like adventure, even if it's only occur in their head. So when I have to make interior design for kids study room, I choose "Adventure" to be the theme.

And here we go, Blue Water Adventure study room. With extra light from skylight, ship diorama, starry lighting, and blue colors everywhere makes the room look like a scene from marine movies. 

If I still a kid, I'll love this room for study. But honestly, even now I'm not a kid anymore, I still love it to be my study room ;p

Parang Batik Shirt

I've just made a modern shirt design with a touch of Indonesian Batik "Parang". I made it for my brother's event. I think he'll look good in this, we'll see :)

Books Illustration, now ON

Hi, how are you bloggers? It's Raining Season now in my place. Make me cold for a week and my feet always feel wet. But I like the morning after heavy rain.

Recently I have news that a book has released! It's the book with my illustration on it, "Hikayat Pemanen Kentang" by Mugya Syahreza Santosa. Cover design made by the publisher, but hey, it's my illustration there... I'm so happy :)

Collaboration Illustration

Few days earlier, I have an Illustration projects and I think I really love the job. It's a really creative job and make me happy to do it again.

Between my interior projects I often do some drawing about fictional characters.  My friend, Helga Swadharma, ask me to collaborate with her. I take her offer without a doubt. We decided to make some graphic art illustration, I make character sketch in BW and she add color and finishing touch. She done it very well, thanks to her and her amazing skill, now I can see my fictional character built in some great aura.

Secret Bed Behind Curtain

I'm writing about secret room design nowadays, my soon-published book "25 Desain Ruang Rahasia" will be on bookstore about one to three months after this, it's talking about how to design secret room, etc. 


I do believe that secret room don't have to be appear as a 'room', but it can be a private isolated space. 


Secret space can be made from partition or some border whether massive or see-through. Secret area like this don't have to be bordered by massif wall, but only by differences in the material applied to the elements of space (floor, wall, ceiling). 

One of the border that can be applied uniquely as the entrance is a curtain. The curtain can be used as a camouflage that makes people think that there's wall and window behind it. Secret room can be made by utilizing the image of this stereotype. Rarely do people will think there is a secret room behind a curtain.

Fancy Purple Kitchen with Stripe Light

Kitchen set design is often made ​​with clean and modern concept, this time I made ​​it with fancy concept  using fancy patterned laminate materials.

Purple became the main color of this kitchen set with red accents on the shelves which function are for spices rack or bookshelf. Purple is also emerging as a major accent in the kitchen set body that is derived from the LED light with acrylic cover and horizontal line form. 


So, this is my design: 

Image below is LED Click Stripe with purple lights, you can have it in hardware store or lamp store. They sale it in meters.

Cheerful Kitchen With Orange

In interior design, color is one of the most important element. In art, the colors can mean a certain reflection of light that is affected by the pigment contained in the surface of the object and each color can give a certain impression and identity as an observer of social conditions. For example, white color will give the impression of pure and clean, bold, and red give the impression of passion and bravery. 


One of the interesting color is Orange. Orange is often found in modern-minimalist house design, as a main color or as a decorative element. This color has a familiar impression, young, creative, and dynamic so it's provide psychological effects of friendship and warmth. In addition, the color orange can also provoke appetite, and because of that orange is often used to kitchen set color scheme.
If you are someone extrovert, friendly, and happy to entertain friends, the color is suitable to be applied to your kitchen. It can be obtained from the finishing such as HPL or Plastic Laminated Sheet (ex.decosheet), you can choose Matte or glossy, depending your taste. 


Besides Orange, of course there should be a neutral color that balances the colors in the room. Neutral colors which is better be used is black. This color is firm and can appear when it juxtaposed with orange, instead of neutral colors like bright white. 


This is my design of modern minimalist design with orange color scheme.

The kitchen is designed like a Japanese Ramen Shop, complete with a hole in the wall for serving food. There isn't smoke hoods in this kitchen, but there's mini exhaust planting on the wall above the window. The window is controling the air circulation in the kitchen, if the window can not be opened somehow, the exhaust regulate the circulation of air instead. 

Ergonomic for Indonesian Pantry

In my campus life, when I want to design something, I'll looking to the standard books for measuring and making technical drawing. But when it come to the real world of professional works, I found that most of the Indonesian people have their own measure, so they have their own standard in ergonomic, whereas my books taught me about European standard. 

I often found myself reducing the height of credenza or cabinet pantry for example, to make clients comfortable with it.

But when it comes to personal taste, size can be changed according to the person wishes. Sometimes I also add height to furniture. This is approximately the suitable ergonomics of pantry for Indonesian. I hope it can give a little help for anyone who need this. (image are private documents)

"What do You Want" Shelves

This days, book cabinet have a great competitors, it's Shelves ^^
More peoples love shelves than cabinets. Why not? shelves gave spacious impression, and make room look lighter.

So, I made this simple shelves. Made from 'check' form, and (again) it's modular. I love puzzle system on my designs. This Shelves can be mounted however you want. Vertically Stacked, Horizontal Line, or Diagonal row.
It's all up to you. It's go for one piece on every purchasing, so buyers can bought as many as they want, and do some creativity. ^^

Frustrating with your little space bedroom, but you need extra storage? Okay, here's the answer for you...

Built-in bed-storage. Put the bed into a storage system, like this wardrobe. Storage are full and perfect for saving every little things you have in bedroom : clothes, bed covers, bags, shoes, etc.
